REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATIONS

The cold morning of January 26, 2010 witnessed Republic Day celebrations in Choithram School with gaiety and fervour.  The programme commenced with the flag-hoisting by Principal Mr. Swapan Mukherjee followed by impeccable march past by eight contingents of different houses of Junior as well as Senior Block. The parade was commanded by Navish Mishra, School Sports Captain while Ashutosh Dhoot, School Deputy Head Boy followed him holding the school flag proudly. Melodious song and dance presentation by the students of Junior Block rejuvenated the atmosphere with patriotic spirit. Ayushi Rajguru of class XII in her speech stressed on the strides made by Indians in different fields and the arenas where we lag behind. Principal Mr. Swapan Mukherjee urged everyone to rise to the Herculean task of progress and success and to be the best Indian possible. Saheesh Srivastava of Ahilya House and Rashi Garg of Tagore House were adjudged as the best commanders of the parade for the Junior and Senior Block respectively. Prahlad House and Tagore House were awarded the trophies for the best march past contingent from the Junior and Senior Block respectively. Nishant Choudhary and Janhavi Manjrekar of class IX anchored the programme effectively.

 

CHOITHRAMIANS BID ADIEU TO CLASS XII STUDENTS

Choithram School, Manik Bagh accorded a befitting farewell to class XII students on January 16, 2010 in the indoor stadium which was witnessed by students of class VI to XI. Smartly dressed young boys and girls of class XII were welcomed with a traditional tilak by their juniors, class XI students. The cultural programme comprising of various dances, song and rock band performance by class VI to XI students enthralled the audience.  The Principal, Mr. Swapan Mukherjee in his speech urged the students to face the outside world with confidence and grit as they would have to tread on a path filled with thorns. Cultural Prefect Sanket Vavikar’s speech was very touching and enumerated how the values which he had imbibed in the institution would enable him to face the challenging world outside.  Mementoes were presented to all students of class XII with the titles. Mr. & Miss Choithram titles were bagged by Ashutosh Dhoot and Ayushi Rajguru while Sanket Vavikar and Apoorva Bhatnagar received the title of Mr. and Miss Personality. After enjoying a sumptuous lunch students of class XI and XII returned in the evening to enjoy a dance party. Students of class XII enjoyed every moment of the programme and thanked the school authorities for the same.

CHOITHRAMIANS EXCEL IN COMPETITIVE EXAMS

Students of Choithram School, Manik Bagh made their alma mater proud by excelling in various competitive exams. Students who earned the rare distinction of clearing AIPMT examination are Prakhar Nyati (AIPMT Rank 122), Anshul Khare (AIPMT Rank 180) and Sakina Husain (AIPMT Rank 264). Students who cleared the prestigious IIT JEE eaxam are Prabhanshu Pavecha (AIR 763), Palash Gupta (AIR 2128)), Vishesh Patni (AIR 2309), Pranjali Sharma (AIR 5022) and Tanmoy Nayak (AIR 5923). Abhas Gangrade cleared the NDA exam with an all India (pre-medical) Rank of 82 and has been allotted Air Force branch. Principal Swapan Mukherjee congratulated the students for their stupendous achievement and wished them all the best in their future endeavours.
